One simple approach to GLORY — with the added bonus of a gem
This article is written with the new breed of investors in mind. The new Tik-tockers, where it appears as though some of them are treating this space as a gamble oppose to an investment opportunity. I feel for the new breed, they need a bit of guidance and tolerance because ultimately like the generation that came before us, we all have a part to play in building generational layers so the entire space continues to grows harmoniously.
Four years ago when I initially invested, my portfolio construction was binary. Around half was backed by crypto blue-chips and the other half on a project that could potentially run.
My key holdings were a mixture of Litecoin and Bitcoin and my speculative punt was with Antshares (NEO). As time passed my strategy at core remained the same but became more refined; back your portfolio with more secure assets and go for the big multiples based on whether said project has 1, A team that you can trust and that has a hunger to evolve and 2, the project itself must a have an ironclad reason to survive and thrive (a narrative).
My most recent holding goes by the name of AIOZ and it intends to be a decentralised video platform (You Tube), a live streaming service and a streaming service (Netflix). All future revenue will be paid via the AIOZ token and that’s for viewers and content creators alike. Also, now is early, you can run a node to support the network where you might not get anything at the moment but if AIOZ takes off (I believe it will) it will pay you great dividends in the future (imagine been a Kusama validator 8 months ago — it would have cost you relatively little but given the price of KSM today you would probably be retired as your job would be helping the Polkadot ecosystem by securing the Canary Network).
As I type the current market cap is around $70M and if we get a mediocre bull run I can see AIOZ doing at least a 20x. The narrative for AIOZ is there for all to see and instead of myself repeating what I already know just watch the below video from Kyle Chasse who already has as an invested interest and provides key reasons why he put his money where his mouth is (CLICK HERE).
In order to buy AIOZ I actually sold a very good project that had already performed tremendously (CRU), but whenever research indicates there are projects that are heavy on the potential side sometimes you’ve simply got to seize the opportunity. For me, my ethos outlined in the second paragraph has proved to be the case, admittedly I’ve lost some but when the winners come in they tend to come in big.
Ultimately it is all about having a stable method of investing and the way I see it is to eradicate ‘luck’ or you could see it as trying to invoke ‘luck’. In main so that your successes are based more so on intent rather than luck — we all know luck tends to run out. For me I can say with a degree of certainty that: I am too unlucky to be lucky! therefore having a method whilst been malleable always wins out.
Right — go out there, enjoy the bull run and get after it.
